Our Workplace: We have built an environment friendly, well insulated and draught-proof workplace equipped with Flat PC Monitors, Less than 35% of power consumption accounts to artificial lighting with the help of Low Power consumption bulbs like CFL, Automatic Power reducing features like timers on Water Coolers, Auto off PCs, Eco-friendly Air conditioners, etc. Individuals can control heating / cooling and lightning in their workspace. We have made sure that our furniture, flooring, and paint are free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and won't off-gas toxic chemicals. E-Waste: By adopting waste minimization techniques, our e-waste generated has significantly reduced. We have introduced schemes to easily dispose / resell our electronic waste like PCs, Storage Drives, Computer Accessories, Cables, etc. We are committed to drastically reduce the usage of hard to recycle or reuse products like CDs and DVDs, and these media are replaced by Flash Disks or Transfer of content using LAN or Internet. Recycle, Re-Use: Our papers, plastics, cans, glass and all other major waste streams are routinely recycled. Globals complies with the recycling schemes outlined by various International agencies including UK Government’s Envirowise. Globals strongly believes reducing the use of resources (including energy) in the first place is even better than recycling, by having a well-thought through purchasing strategy. We are committed to buying recycled and / or recyclable paper and other products where possible, ensuring new printers and copiers can (and are set to) print on both sides, or setting an ambitious ‘zero waste’ target. Paperless Office: We have automated our internal administration using our in-house web based applications to communicate, collaborate and share information with our staff. Most of the documents that need to be archived for future reference are stored online and most of our subscriptions to catalogues, magazines, newsletters, etc are through electronic format. Our employee manuals and similar materials are distributed online and it’s easy for our staff to access such information online. Promoting Sustainable Working Practices: Globals is committed to create awareness about importance of cleaner and sustainable environment to all its staff members with active patronage from the management board. By using poster campaigns, stickers, etc at the workplace, employees do not forget about the new green initiatives and to encourage our staff to adopt simple energy efficient actions at the workplace. We are also encouraging our staff for carpool / bikepool or to use electric cars / bikes for their transit to work and to make use of videoconferencing to discuss with business partners, associates, etc as much as possible
