World Bank chooses Globals as one of its ICT Partners for Development PDF Print E-mail

Washington D.C., November 17, 2008: Globals was chosen as one of 9 ICT partners of World Bank at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington DC. Suhas Gopinath represented Globals at this meeting which was called by World Bank President Robert Zoellick.

The agenda of this meeting were how ICT partners can cooperate with the World Bank for Skill Development on ICT in Developing and Under Developed nations and How ICT can be adopted for Transformation of the Public Sector for better accountability and transparency. This was a joint meeting organized by World Bank and its partner organization International Finance Corporation. Some of the other ICT Partners included Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, and Salesforce.com.

Suhas Gopinath being one of the world’s youngest entrepreneurs appreciated the initiative taken by the World Bank and was confident that with his entrepreneurial experience, Globals can facilitate in establishing Skill Development hubs in some of the African and Asian countries, thus benefiting the youth in these countries by making them employable in IT and IT Enabled Sectors. Mr Gopinath also proposed some web solutions for public sectors in their transformation process.
